Leading a large group of technology enthusiasts, embraced the opportunity to build a business around eCommerce and SAP into a thriving company.  Effectively coordinated the build of the primary IP of the company and implemented it into hundreds of businesses around the world.  Accountable for $20M yearly budget and staff of 40+.

  • Increased sales by 100%+ year over year for the past 3 years by designing and implementing platform improvement and managing the technical portions of the sales cycle.

  • Established new strategic partnerships with 3 top line SAP Customers which resulted in 50% revenue increase in a single year.

JD Irving

Chief Solution Architect

Reporting to the VP of Technology, this role was placing IT on the leading edge to provide true business transformation during the height of the last large recession.  This included a shift from traditional business models into modern, lean process driven solutions.  The company, 135 years old, was specifically at risk with the housing market crash and bold moves around execution of mobile strategies, large shipping fleet and route optimizations were just some of the highlights that I led successful initiatives.  One standout was a 2-year project to launch kent.ca eCommerce - the main Home Depot competitor in Canada.

  • Research and recommended enhancements to the architecture and technology needs of the organization based on new and emerging technologies, and assist with establishing priorities, standards, and strategies consistent with J.D Irving's Technology Roadmap.

  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions to ensure successful implementation of both Software builds and acquisitions of technology.

  • Designed an effective architecture roadmap for key product lines along with establishing architecture governance.

  • Assisted with the alignment of IT with the business through effective architecture processes.
